Twerton resident writes a new book

Peter Little of Long Valley Road in Twerton is a keen historical researcher and musician. In 1995 he wrote a History of Twerton, copies of which are available at Bath Reference Library. He has also written A Few Twerton Folk, detailing the lives of some of the more noteworthy characters of Twerton's past. His latest booklet gives an overview of 16 interesting chapels around Bath and is sold by Oldfield Park Bookshop at Moorland Road, Whiteman's at Orange Grove and Good Buy Books at North Parade, with proceeds to go to St Michael's Church.

For many years Mr Little has voluntarily played the organ for Sunday services at St Michael's, and played the piano for a service attended by deaf and hearing people at Pennard Court.

Christmas meal at Rose Cottage, Twerton

The Christmas meal at Rose Cottage this year was beautifully prepared by the team of regular volunteers and enjoyed by about thirty customers. Above are some photos taken of the occasion.

Rose Cottage is located in Twerton High Street and opens as a drop-in centre and a place to get an inexpensive meal on Thursdays, from 10am to 2pm, with lunches served from around 12 noon. There are plans to open Rose Cottage for meals on Wednesdays as well, in 2008.
